Transhumanism may seem to you like a contemporary movement, but in reality, this model has existed since the dawn of time within the collective consciousness. From Her Majesty’s knights to the countless reimaginings of superheroes and superheroines, you have already demonstrated an ability to evoke and to wish to believe in the notion of the gifted human. You have even, on several occasions, legitimately convinced your admirers of the feats achieved through the development of technosciences, but above all, of human intellect within your societies. However, this tendency undeniably disregards the true root from which humankind actually draws all its superpower and supremacy: your connection to an intangible energy that does not originate from your planet, even though it nourishes and embellishes it every day.
This oversight can lead to severe consequences for your dwelling (Mother Earth), for although the transhumanist movement undeniably aspires to improve the current human condition, it is currently rooted in moral and psychological codes so well controlled by your leaders that you have found yourselves to be blindfolded. This practice, which has also existed for millennia, has been passed down from generation to generation. Here, we are referring to a poverty of the spirit that keeps you trapped in the poverty of the human condition and thus in a perpetual state of fight-or-flight. If survival is all that metaphorically keeps you alive day after day, it becomes increasingly understandable why you choose illusion over meaning. How can you all aspire to become transhuman when your daily existence is nothing more than a precarious balance between the familiarity necessary for your mental and emotional stability and the ever-present risk of plunging into terror and anguish?
It is a dependence on the authority of technosciences that today leads to your obedience to whatever your birth society presents to you. And this, despite the fact that there already exists within you a higher ethical core that should, in principle, compel you to reflect differently on your human condition. But you do not do so, as you have already been more accustomed to living in a planetary system where it is possible to explain how things function rather than attempting to extract their meaning and reason for being. Why does the world function the way it does? There are multiple answers to this question; however, today, we ask you to take your reasoning a little further. Why does the world function as it does today, when deep down, one has the distinct impression that none of this makes sense and that it is indeed possible to live differently?
The superheroes and heroines of your collective imagination are, in reality, a mimicry of this fervent desire for a supreme but benevolent hierarchy—one that guides, consoles, reassures, protects, but above all, enhances every moment of life so that it may truly be as beautiful as it was meant to be at the moment of its immaculate conception. You were not born to obey an overpowered authority but rather to transform everything you touch through the superpower that this authority would have bequeathed to you out of love at the moment of your own conception. It is therefore a matter of asking fewer questions about how life is structured and more about the moral and psychological resources that constitute the very foundation of life itself. We already observe that without ethical benchmarks anchored in elevated consciousness, certain societies can rapidly collapse into moral relativism. The notion of evil itself becomes something that can be debated and rebalanced. Some aspects of evil are punished, while others are trivialised. This way of thinking about your world is what allows the early stages of "proper functioning" and "utilitarianism" to flourish as economic models that seem most logical for the common good. But what meaning are we really echoing here?
Pure rationalism can enable a society to be protected and thus to survive, but only in the short term. Without philosophical reflection or dialogues infused with human existentialism, it is impossible to access psychic benchmarks beyond what already exists in the present consciousness. There will always be rebellion where there is coercion. Hence the collective necessity for better moral and psychological benchmarks. These are your ability to identify with a collective morality, and morality itself is undeniably linked to your ability to feel empathy, compassion, but also awareness of the existence of the other. Morality and psychology work in tandem to ensure that you do not lose your mental and emotional balance and that you remain capable of making decisions based on human beings rather than on unconscious machines.
Transhumanism? First and foremost, we must become profoundly human.
